Professional Barista Training at Cork Barista School
Cork Barista School is Cork City’s dedicated barista training facility — built for people who want to work in coffee professionally or master the craft at home. Our SCA-qualified instructors have over 10 years’ experience training baristas across Ireland, from complete beginners to working café professionals.
All training takes place at our fully equipped facility at Westside Centre, Model Farm Road, Cork City. You’ll train on commercial espresso machines and grinders – the same equipment used in professional café kitchens – from your very first session.
Whether you’re looking to launch a career in coffee, upskill your team, or explore barista skills as a hobby, our courses run year-round in small groups so every student gets meaningful hands-on time on the machine.
Our Barista Courses
We offer three focused barista courses suited to different skill levels and goals:
Half Day Barista Course — €75
The ideal starting point for beginners and home enthusiasts. Covers espresso extraction theory, grind adjustment, milk steaming, and an introduction to latte art. Duration: half day.
Full Day Barista Course — €150
A comprehensive barista training day covering espresso technique, milk texturing at café standard, workflow efficiency, and customer service in a café environment. Suited to anyone preparing for work in coffee. Duration: full day.
Latte Art Masterclass — €75
For baristas who already have espresso and milk basics covered. This session focuses entirely on pattern technique — rosettas, tulips, and free-pouring. Small group, hands-on throughout. Duration: half day.
